A spectacular dance-theater collaboration between Indonesian and Japanese artists. 

The internationally renowned Pappa Tarahumara performing arts company, in partnership with The Japan Foundation and Kelola present “Garibaba’s Strange World” for dance, theater, and visual arts enthusiasts. 

Hiroshi Koike, founder and artistic director of the company has been interested in Jonathan Swift’s “Gulliver’s Travels.” “Garibaba’s Strange World” is the second volume of Swift Project, and features Swift’s paradoxical and curious view of human society. The recipient of many international awards, Koike, creates a dance theater staging to reflect a quirky worldview. There will be a new world no one has ever seen.
